    Counselor

You love all aspects of camp life. You live for face paint & costumes, singing in the dining hall and hiking the trails to your favourite campfire site. You know what it means to be a reliable member of a team, you are focused on the well-being and safety of others, you are ready to take on programming responsibilities, and you have a minimum of Standard CPR & First Aid - even better if you have your Bronze Cross. Preferably, you are a French Immersion Student or a student who has completed Grade 11 French. Counselors work at camp for 8 weeks of camp + 1 week of staff training which starts July 5th.

    Junior Counselor

You are working towards something. You have already completed a Leadership Development Program here at Camp Mansfield or somewhere else, such as a high school credit or another camp. You are ready to be a member of a team, to take responsibility for others, and to challenge yourself. You don't care if its archery, arts and crafts, horseback riding or swimming - Camp is the best and it’s where you want to be. You are entering Grade 10 or 11. You have a minimum of Basic CPR & First Aid and even better if you have your Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross. Preferably, you are a French Immersion Student or a student who is enrolled in French at your high school. Junior Counselors work at Camp for 4 weeks + 1 week of staff training.

    Mountain Bike Instructor

The only thing you like more than riding the trails is sharing the trials with other people. You are safety conscious and ready to work as a member of a team. You understand that teaching kids new skills requires patience, exceptional role modeling, and a very positive attitude. You have some basic bike maintenance skills and you know how to patch a tire or repair a brake wire without breaking a sweat. You are versatile and just as comfortable on the trail as you are in the pool, the Gaga Pit, or the archery range. You have a minimum of Basic CPR & First Aid. Preferably, you are a French Immersion Student or a student who has completed Grade 11 French. Mountain Bike Instructors work at camp for a minimum of 5 weeks + 1 week of staff training. Additional weeks may be possible depending on the breadth of your skill set.

    Junior Wrangler

You have several years of experience working with horses. You are comfortable tacking, feeding, and grooming horses and assisting with basic instruction. You understand that kids might feel anxious around large animals and need a patient and caring leader to help them get acquainted. You have a minimum of Basic CPR & First Aid. Preferably, you are a French Immersion Student or a student who has completed Grade 11 French. The Junior Wrangler will work at camp for 8 weeks of camp + 1 week of staff training.

    Kitchen Assistant

You are ready to work under the supervision and direction of an experienced cook. You will be able to rise early, arrive on time, and work under time constraints. You want to be at camp and although you won’t be in a front line role with campers, you know that what you are doing in the background makes a huge difference to the success of the program and that sits well with you. You have a minimum of Basic CPR & First Aid. The Kitchen Assistant will work at camp for 8 weeks of camp + 1 week of staff training.

    Arts & Crafts Instructor

You ooze creativity. You are inspired by the idea of helping campers to used recycled and natural materials in their projects, you can think on your feet when something doesn’t go according to plan, and you have excellent organizational skills to take care of all those supplies. You are patient, able to work with all ages, and ready to be neck deep in glitter. You have a minimum of Basic CPR & First Aid. Preferably, you are a French Immersion Student or a student who has completed Grade 11 French. The Arts & Crafts Instructor will work at camp for 8 weeks of camp + 1 week of staff training.

    Lifeguard/Program Staff

You have your NLS and previous lifeguarding experience. You are comfortable guarding at the pool and riverside and you have a back pocket full of games that are fun to play in the water. You aren’t afraid to lay down the law when you see something unsafe happening. First aid is second nature to you. Preferably, you are a French Immersion Student or a student who has completed Grade 11 French. Lifeguards/Program staff will work at camp for 8 weeks of camp + 1 week of staff training.
