About Us

About UsThe Mansfield Outdoor Centre is a privately owned leading provider of curriculum based outdoor education and recreation in Central Ontario .

We are situated on 300 incredibly beautiful acres in the hills of Mulmur Township .

We offer group facilities in a natural environment and encourage a respect for the land and our planet.

Previously known as the Mansfield Forest Club, the current owners took over operations in 1983 and have successfully diversified the activities to allow a wide range of user groups to enjoy the land and facilities at very affordable prices. We treasure our land and enjoy being able to share it with others.

Prior to 1969 the property was a working farm. The original barn is still used for outdoor education programming and the farmhouse (circa 1908) forms the core of our main lodge. The Centre was one of the first to offer groomed cross country ski trails in Ontario .

We opened for skiing in 1974.

In 1990 we expanded our facilities to house students from the Toronto area participating in a community living program for Grade 8 students.

Our primary activity, quality curriculum based outdoor education programs, is offered to students from across Ontario .

Each summer the Centre operates exciting camp programs. We also cater to large groups wishing to relax in our rustic retreat facilities while enjoying programming by us or doing their own thing.

From our humble beginnings over 25 years ago we estimate that over 250,000 students and 300,000 members of the public have enjoyed our very unique corner of Dufferin County for education and play.
